Commercial Kitchen injury Claim in Huddersfield
Mr H from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, instructed us to deal with a claim following an accident at work.
Mr H was working at a Fish and Chip Shop in Marsh, Huddersfield, at the time of this accident.
Whilst the mushy peas were being heated up, a colleague needed to access the pressure cooker.
As Mr H’s colleague opened the pressure cooker, the mushy peas exploded everywhere covering Mr H’s arm with red hot mushy peas, causing severe burns on his left arm.
He was immediately taken to the Accident & Emergency Department of Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where the burns wounds were dressed.
He had constant pain in his left forearm and had to take paracetamol and Ibuprofen for the pain.
How was Mr H affected by these injuries?
Initially, he had time off work due to the accident at work-related injuries and was unable to do household chores or shower.
Whilst the pain in his arm finally improved he complained of residual scarring to his left forearm which needed additional protection from the sun in hot weather.
When Mr H received his compensation payout, he thanked the staff at Grieves Solicitors for an excellent result and rated our overall performance as excellent as well as our professionalism and staff contact.
